New Band In The House: Living Anthem

You know how much I appreciate GOOD music and when I heard 'Mystery' by Living Anthem, I was listening to quality music. Comprising of Matt Seagle (Lead Vocals and Rhythm Guitar), Luke Budde (Vocals Keys), Tim Englett (Drums), Cory Estes (Lead Guitar) and Toby Holloman-Bass, this band are ready to make a mark for themselves.

On Loving...

My friends and I have been studying love lately and we are trying to explore what and how we are supposed to love. We have been able to establish the main fact that true love is actually rooted in God and all but now we want to explore the depth of this love. DJ MAJ in one of his hit songs 'Love (So)Beautiful' featuring Liquid Beats, he says that true love is rooted in God. That line got me thinking. Love is rooted in God. The most popular scripture in the world flashes in my mind...

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (KJV)

What an amazing scripture that was but it is what Jesus tells his disciples that makes me understand that scripture we

John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends (KJV)

With this I realize one thing, the only great act of love performed by anyone was done over 2,000 years ago and it is only in Him you can find true, genuine and sincere love. It is just too amazing. I used to wonder a lot why God told Hosea to marry a prostitute but soon I realized that God wanted to show Hosea why even after Israel sins and follows other gods, He will still call them back... after punishing them though

It is with this I realize that to love ANYONE AT ALL, I have to is go to the source. This is where 1st Corinthians 13 comes in. I am so excited! Don't worry...we are still exploring and I will keep updating you with more information.

I am so impressed at the work the present Governor of Lagos State is doing. He rocks, seriously. I mean the roads are amazing, I mean I entered the BRT yesterday and I actually enjoyed the ride. I did not even want to enter our black and yellow buses....OK...danfo...as I was saying.... I did not even want to enter them because.... THERE IS THE BRT! and who wants to enter those?

I think our Governor should be commended. Lagos may soon be like Abuja... hopefully but really... I feel this Governor rocks and he should please keep on keeping on...

Lagos no go spoil oh...lol

DAY 102: Video Launched to Expose Torture of Christian Attorney Gao Zhisheng

On September 12, 2007, Christian human rights attorney Gao Zhisheng wrote an open letter to the U.S. Congress exposing the brutality of the Communist Party, including the persecution of house church Christians.

Soon after, Gao was kidnapped by Chinese government authorities and tortured for 58 days. Officials threatened to kill him if he ever exposed the details of his torture. Gao Zhisheng refused to be intimidated into silence -- he continued to speak out about human rights abuses by China's ruling Party. Determined to silence him, government officials kidnapped him again on February 4, 2009.

Gao Zhisheng has now been missing for more than 100 days. He was last seen being hauled away by Chinese officials.

Gao Zhisheng risked everything to challenge the dark system of communism -- he dared to speak the truth. Now, his very life threatens to unmask the distorted inner reality of the Chinese government to the world.

Today ChinaAid and The Voice of the Martyrs join in launching a video exposing the torture Gao suffered in 2007. According to reports from inside China, he is likely experiencing the same treatment--or worse--now. View video now.

This video, an account of 58 days of torture in Gao's own words, is an indictment of the true nature of Communist Party leaders, who commit these atrocities with their left hands, while their right hands are extended to the free world in a show of friendship and economic partnership.

Gao said to his wife that if he should be persecuted for speaking the truth, he believed that people of justice throughout the world would stand with him.

Random Discussions: Girl Power and the Emasculation of Men

I know for decades and centuries, women have been treated as objects and regarded as the weaker sex, well, I see why the women had to go and protest and all but please, it is getting too much. If the women claim we are 'equal' before God, why then the saying what a man can do a woman can do better... or why do guys have to go ladies first or stand up when they come to the table or pull out the chair for them or open the car door for them... why all the serenere... I mean...we are all equal... why do they have to make the men feel less than what they are... why? I need opinions people...

The Guy Emmsong

First it was Simi and now its Emmsong. It seems Covenant University has a thing for raising amazing talents. Talents who not only are local champions but also international champs in their own right. So, I am guessing, you have not Emmsong so I will introduce him to you.

He is a 200 level, Engineering student of Covenant University and also one of the school's rising talents. His first single 'Wetin I Do?' ft Tega, is making waves not only in Covenant University but also in Nigeria as his video is featured on Nigezie. The boy no doubt is a rising start and is ready to shake his world. When I listen to his music or watch the video, there is a sense of hope for the Nigerian music scene. Anyways, less talk...see for yourself and then drop your comments...

For the love of YADA...

I know I told you earlier that YADA was coming out in May. Yes, It is still coming out but right now, things don't look all OK... We are short on articles and there is so much that needs to be done. So I am calling on you, if there is a way you can support the cause, please send me anything you feel can feature in the journal. I will be needing them by Tuesday. Also, I need you to pray so that it can be a success and all the things you need to know, you will find.
