Micheal Jackson... Life is Short

One minute... you're the star of the show... the next the lights are turned off and the curtains are drawn and you are no more. That is MJ's story. I mean, everyone knew him. Even with all the conroversies and all the extra serenre... people loved him. Come on guys he was the KING OF POP. He was an inspiration to dancers, singers, everyone. Now he is gone and honestly, I feel bad and in a way scared. Who would have thought? Certainly not me but I guess we just accept whatever life serves us. Death is inevitable thats for sure. So now the curtains have been drawn and now Michael Jackson, the King of Pop is now nothing but a memory. After this month, we will all move on with our lives. Funny ainit? Soon we start to think of other paramount issues., what we will eat, how we would get by in this cruel world, parents will start thinking of their children who have to go to school and students continue to worry about exams and deadlines. I am not trying to be cynical. I am just being realistic. It happened with Elvis, it happened with Aaliyah, with Bernie Mac and MJ wont be any different. The only time we will remember him will be when we see his music video or when we see an autobiography of him on MTV, BET, VH1 or E!
I admired Mr Jackson and I am going to miss him no doubt but I want us to take out time and reflect, look at your life, correct all you need to correct, forgive those who have hurt you and ask for forgiveness from those you have hurt, don't give up on your dreams, celebrate your family, friends... tell your mum you love her... we don't know what would happen tomorrow. Share the love that God has put in your heart. When MJ was alive, he was constantly mocked and ridiculed by the media. Now he is gone and everyone is in mourning mode. Please, don't let them die before you let them know how much you care. No matter how many tributes we gove to the King of Pop, no matter how much we declare our love, he will never know because he is dead. Simple. That is just the truth
Life is short. Live your life well. When you get the opportunity to sit or dance, biko please dance. Do what you have to do when you have the time. Compliment people. I could go on and on but remeber life is short. Live your life wisely and don't forget to put your trust in God.
God bless you...

The Man Victor Oladokun
I am so excited I can hardly speak. I met Victor Oladokun of CBN and Turning point ONE ON ONE!!! I still have not recovered from the speech he gave at the Covenant University Convocation Lecture this morning or the Symposuim he had with the College of Human Development this afternoon. I mean it was a blast. He gave me so much inspiration and the encouragement that I needed. I mean, thank God for him. He even called me brilliant when I asked a question. I am so happy he was a blessing to me. He spoke to us about creativity and innovation and how we are in the era of democratization of technology. He also told us that to be succesful in the broadcast media we had to follow the laws of the media and also research. It was so much fun and he signed my book 'Every Young Man's Battle by Fred Stoeker'. Anyways, I am so inspired right now and I give all the praise to God. Thank you Mr Oladokun for this gift. I am forever grateful to you.

This is the very episode of The Talkaholic podcast.
Today’s podcast is focusing on the song ‘Living the Life’ by Group 1 Crew. The song has been the Nos. 1 song on my playlist for a while and it really explains the point I am in now in my walk with God.
The podcast starts with the song and with an explanation of how the song relates to our everyday lives. At the end of the podcast, listeners realize that there is so much to be grateful for and that the life God has given us is one to be enjoyed and to be lived to the fullest. THE GETAWAY NOTE
OK, so things have been major crazy lately. There has been so much going on and too much drama; from family to friends to academics to dreams. Something is just not right. I can feel it in my bones. Something is missing and honestly, I am TIRED!!! Tired of showing off the fake smiles, tired of acting all ‘spiritual’ when I am empty and longing for something more, tired of acting like I have the answer when I have a dozen of questions. Honestly, I am tired. Tired of my friends (forgive me guys, it’s just how I feel; still love you guys), tired of knowing that after the music stops, after all the hype, there is reality to face. I AM TIRED!!!

So the deal is I really need to get away. According to Mr Tobymac, ‘I need a getaway car’. I need to go someplace far away maybe for reflection, maybe to just chill out and relax, maybe to a place where nothing is familiar. Maybe I should experiment with different things; maybe I should meet new people, maybe... just maybe. One thing is for sure thought, I need to get away.
I am confused and I am sorry if it sounds old and you have a problem with it but it is the truth. I need help. I am at a double crossroads and my life just keeps spinning and I am just dizzy! Too dizzy to move, too dizzy to think straight, too dizzy to be un-dizzy.
I have gone through the motions and honestly I think I will just be still. Before the getaway car comes, before meeting the new people phase and experimentation phase; I guess I will just be still. I’ll just wait because I can’t do this any more. There is so much a guy can take.
So YHWH, even though I am confused and I have no clue what I want. I need You to step in. It is either You get me that getaway car or You better fix it because You said You will not fail me or give up on me or leave me without support. You told me You won’t leave me bereaved or forlorn and that You would hold me up. Come on! You are supposed to be my very present help in time of need. SO HELP ME OR GET ME THAT GETAWAY CAR!!!!!!!!
Trotcha!
PS: Whatever You decide to do is cool with me. You know best.
