Tis the seasin to be jolly... Easter!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys!!!

Wat's popping!!! I am so excited... It's Easter...

You might find it hard to believe but Easter is one time of the year... I love to look over my life and remember what Jesus did to save my soul. I like to think about the price He paid and how I am free from death, hell and he grave. He has saved me and I have a reason to be happy and joyful...

This Easter, I plan on spending extra time with God... getting to know Him more, praying more not for material things but just talking to Him. I want to know what is on His mind, I want to know Him as a friend... I am so excited...

How are you spending your easter??? Holla back

Controversies surrounding thinking...

Hey guys!!!

How's the week going? Mine has been OK so far, we thank God for that. I have decided to work with a super cool attitude this week and so far it has been working really well. Also, my classmate bought me an amazing lunch... Am I not just blessed?

Anyways, to the title of this post... thinking... I wanna ask a question... Why is it that when you are staring into space and someone should ask you, what's up and you go I am thinking, they suddenly think you are thinking of something bad or you are worrying. It happens to me a lot. When I tell them that I am thinking they say things like Of what? Do you have a wife and some kids in the village? Jesus is greater than your problem?

Anytime it happens, I usually wanna shoot someone. I could be thinking of solutions to our nations long list of problems or I could just be planning the rest of my week. Why must folks think that all people think about are negative things?

My Facebook status recently said In Thinking Mode and you should have seen the messages I got from people... They were like oh, are you OK? What's wrong? Any Issues? In my mind I am like somebody gimme a break... One person though said "That is amazing. We need more people like you in our nation" That was so nice and I felt so good. Even though I wasn't thinking of Nigeria and was planning my Easter break? It still felt good to hear her say it...

Do you have any misconceptions too as  regards the subject matter? I do sometimes...

Take care and have an amazing week...

On Feelings...

Feelings. They can be deceptive and they can be very selfish. They can be very amazing too. Truth is, they can be tricky and sometimes I don't even know what I feel. If there is one thing I have come to realize, it is that God is greater than our feelings. Yes. You heard me. He is greater than the feelings we feel. No matter ho much we want to get angry or how much we want to hate that guy or how much she played with your emotions... God can help you get over those feelings and give you the strength to try again. It might sound like a cliche but it is the truth. Besides, think of it, no one gets his or her feelings hurt the way God does. He gives us 100% and what do we do, we give Him 5%. If He is lucky He may get 10 from us and maybe 25% from others... But He doesn't give up. He keeps on loving us so who are we to give up on people if they hurt our feelings just once... Your pain cannot compare to the one Christ feels when He sees the people He died for crucify Him over again... Think of it and maybe when you do Loving your neighbor as Christ as loved you wouldn't be so hard.

I need us to think about this and decide what we are going to do. Are we gonna let our feelings control us or are we gonna let the Holy Spirit control us? Make your pick...

On Love

We find it,
We lose it,
We guard it,
It slips through our fingers...
Love...
I love you,
You love me,
We make up,
We break up.
Love...
I need you,
You need me,
I dream you,
You dream me,
Love...

I could go on and on but the conclusion... Love is a  beautiful thing!

Oh... and I think I love my class

I am loving it....

I am loving my class... even though we all are not friends... I love the atmosphere... Even now I am blogging from class and my lecturer is AMAZING!!!

Last Friday, the whole Mass Communication Department went out to just chill. We are known to be very agile workaholics, always busy and never taking a break but that Friday we had so much fun!!!

We first went to Silverbird and I saw The Lighting Thief. The ride to Silverbird was fun, we even got lots at one point..lol

After Silverbird, we went to Oniru Beach. We had mad fun there even though we spent less that an hour, thirty minutes but what the heck? We were there and we enjoyed ourselves.

The journey back to school was long as we left Oniru at past 4 and we got back to school at 11pm. That was were we all were able to talk more, know ourselves better... My class is mostly female so there were times when they ALL went on a checking guys out parade... It was so much fun...

What I am loving in the class is that now we all have mutual respect for one another. We may not all be friends  but at least we consider everybody important. I love going to class and suppressing feelings of hate...

Feed your eyes with pictures people...

Imma add more soon...

University Drama Part 1

Hey guys... First of all I wanna say a big thank you to the comments that I got yesterday. You guys are simply the BEST!! Thank you so much for agreeing to pray for me and I can feel the morale getting stronger... YAY!!! I really appreciate it...

So school is going on as randomly as usual. It's final year so most of us are already planning for our future, what we wanna do between post grad period and NYSC (So not looking forward to that). Anyways, we are all making plans and also trying to keep our grades up... and finish our project...

The thing is since everyone is busy and has their minds occupied.... tempers fly like crazy!!! As in, you will see people getting angry at very trivial things (Me included). Between final year project. raising money for YADA, working on the graduation magazine, finishing my book and serving on the convocation planning committee, I like to be left alone... most times and its funny how people don't just get that. I like to work. i like responsibility. I like to organize stuff, plan things no doubt but there are times when you just wanna rest and reflect on life... There are times when you just want to listen to nothing... You just want quiet... I can't seem to get that. I am sure I am not the only one that feels like this... I know most final year students feel like this cause I was talking to a friend and she could relate.

What is the solution?

Deal with it! That is what I got today as I thought about my life now and all thee drama... you know the flying temper, the roommate you don't talk to, the class mates you cannot seem to agree on a thing...  i can here it clearly.... DEAL WITH IT!!!

We are about to graduate and there is so much more that is going to occupy our minds, the egocentric boss, the co-worker who seems to hate you, bills you will have to pay... These are just few of the things that could increase your blood pressure now talk of when you start making babies... ha!!

I have decided to enjoy this remaining 100 days to graduation... After grad, I won't see most of them again and all what we call drama now will be nothing but a memory... one we will laugh about an remember for the rest of our lives...

I choose to be happy and not complacent. Life is beautiful, baby!!!

On my mind...

There is so much on my mind (I am not even sure what I wrote is correct). But seriously, I have a lot I have been thinking about but I guess one thing stands out of them all and that is... my final year project.
Project n /prɒdʒɛkt/ A research you are made to do in your final year...

That's the best definition I can give it for now because it has not been an easy something... Ask an average person (who is serious) what is on your mind and they go... Project... man it is not easy...

I need you to pray for me... my morale is down and I just want to get the project with but is that the attitude I need if i want to have an A in my project?

Pray for me...

I know the plans...

I love the scripture where God assures me that His thoughts and plans for me are of good and not of evil, to gimme a future and a hope... you have no clue what that means to me...

I looked over my life this morning and I realized that I have so much to be thankful for... I want you to just take time out and thank him for YOUR life...

While you are at it, there is an amazing poem at Anani Speaks... Check it out...

The things that trend on Twitter...

I love Twitter. I think it is the coolest social networking site right now... My friends always ask me what I love about the site and I usually have nothing to say most times... I just love the site... There is one thing I don't like though.. some of the trending topics...

Now my best trending topic is #nowplaying... Its cool...decent... I like it but there is one trending as I type and that is #sexisbest... Please what in God's name is that? Why will anyone want to tweet about that? I am not trying to form self righteous but really, I thought there was something called privacy... or was I wrong?

Another one I hate is #SinceWeNotSexin... I don't even have anything to say as regards that one... I rest my case...

Anyways, I gotta go now... Take care people and please read James 5:5-8

This is It!!!!

I have never been super crazy about the King of Pop. Yes, I may like a few of his songs but I have not really been exactly his biggest fan... When he died, I was indifferent... I mean he had no impact per se in my life... This has changed...

On Sunday afternoon, I decided to watch the documentary, This is it. It would be a perfect way to relax on Sunday... The truth is immediately I started the movie, I knew that my whole perspective was gonna change and it did...
I think Micheal was an amazing person... He had a good heart and he is not your average celebrity. Yes, it was obvious his voice wasn't as good as before and that his energy level had dropped but at the same time, he was amazing. His passion for his music was out of this world, the way he interacted with his dancers and the rest of the crew... the guy is humble no doubt...

Honestly, I wish he lived a better life here on earth... watch This is It... There is another side of Mike you need to see...

Don't put me in a BOX!!!

I feel we humans love to put ourselves in little boxes. I guess we have a twisted mindset that when we do that, we can understand them better.

I can like to disagree there...

From experience, I have come to realize that the people I put in these boxes are the hardest to read and we always end up fighting... I dunno if anyone here can relate... Truth is, I have come across lots of people this week who have kept me in various boxes and in my mind I am like why would you put me in a box? You don't know me that well... It is then worse when a family member or a close friend is the one putting you in the box... GOSH!!!

Anyways, I have been listening to the Faith+Hope+Love album from Hillsong and I wanna share the lyrics to an amazing song from the album. It is called It's Your Love and it describes the love God has for us... You should probably  check for the video on Youtube... You will love it... Here are the lyrics to the song... it was written by Mia Fieldes and it was led by Darlene Zschech.

It's Your Love
Verse 1:
Upon the hill on Calvary
He came from Heaven’s throne
Our fallenness and mercy meet
Where blood and water flow

Verse 2:
What grace divine what selflessness
That Christ would bear the weight
Our proof is scarred on hands that bled
That we were worth every nail

Chorus:
And all the praise and glory to God
We sing Hallelujah sing Hallelujah
For the King has carried the cross
He is risen from the grave

Verse 3:
Beyond the tomb to holy skies
He rose in victory
And bridged for us the great divide
His life is our liberty

Chorus x2

Bridge:
It’s Your love
It’s Your love
It’s Your love
That has saved me

It’s Your blood
It’s Your blood
It’s Your blood
That has cleaned me

Amazing song isn't it... Anyways guys... I gotta go now... I am wrapping up the Kiss & Tell novel so wish me luck guys...

OK... I am almost done with the Kiss and Tell novel. I am so in love with the book... Thank God for inspiration. Anyways, what's going on people? I am just chilling here... Currently in questionnaire phase of my final year project and apart from it being expensive, it is quite tasking but you know now, I will survive. I am gonna watch The Hurt Locker today though and if that movie is not as good as Avatar.... hmmn...

Currently, I am about to apply to be a fellow at the YouthActionNet Global Fellowship. Wish me luck people. Also, I am trying out this thing where I don't insult people who annoy me. I try to imagine them a someone's brother, sister, aunt, uncle, father, mother, boyfriend and the likes. It is not easy but I am getting there. I need to get my Christian on can I get an Hallelujah!!!

Tobymac and Chris Tomlin are going on tour together. I actually thought he was going on tour with Skillet but I guess Mr Tobymac is good at multi tasking. Here is the flyer for the event

What is The Hurt Locker???

To say I am angry and disappointed at this years Oscars will be saying the least. Even if Avatar wasn't gonna win any award at all, what  happened to the Best Picture Award. Most people who saw Avatar in 3D have been dying to go to Pendora... that is saying the least. I am beginning to wonder, what is the criteria that is used to give out these awards. I mean if Slumdog Millionaire could beat The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons at last years Academy Awards then what are we talking about here. I have not seen The Hurt Locker but come on... I heard NOTHING about the movie. Is this about the controversy that the movie brought?

I don't even know what to say. Personally, I feel Avatar has been robbed. I am not endorsing the movie. I am just being honest and stating a statement of fact. There is no movie at all that was on that list that could have beat Avatar.... It's all good ough... Nothing dey

Pictures from the event

Gerard Butler

James Cameron and his wife Suzy

Kathryn Bigelow...She is the director of The Hurt Locker... and James Cameron's ex wife

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon

Meryl Streep...too fine

 Sandra Bullock

Gabourey Sidibe

Tyler Perry

Zoe Saldana

I guess imma get over my anger soon... Not like I have a choice... Avatar is still the highest grossing movie of all time and James Cameron has made is though... Gotta go now.... Got to go read...

Trotcha!

Random Discussions: Facebook or Twitter?

Another random discussion for y'all. Who is the king of social networking; Facebook or Twitter. Word on the street is that Facebook is now boring, while some think that Twitter is so borin and lame. Truth is, I love em both but what do you think? Would you rather check your facebook account or tweet? Also, when giving your answer, please make us see reason why you think one deserves the title of king of social networking. I am waiting...

Happy discussing

I wanna be PAPA Confessor+NAACP Awards Pictures

LOL!!!

Wassup blogville, I know it has been a while since I last blogged. Truth is I was ill for a while and even now, I am coughing. It's all good sha... So how have y'all been? What's been happening on blogville. I know must of you are expecting me to talk about the title of this post... welll I got YA!!!..... OK.... Lemme talk....

Well, if you watch Legend of the Seeker, a confessor is someone who has the ability to tell when someone is lying or speaking the truth. They also do this thing with their eyes where they look into someones eye and whoever it is they look at goes through a transformation called confession (OK... I am laughing now) that is the person becomes a slave to the confessor. Apparently, there are no male confessors because they end up being wicked and cruel and they exploit their powers.

(You see thte chic in the white dress...thats Mother Confessor)
Let us note here that I am not the biggest fan of Legend of the Seeker but I find the confessors power very cool. Imagine me being Papa Confessor... do you know the people I will confess???

The NAACP awards just held and some folks represented well. Raven Symone, Tyler Perry and Taraji Henson included. Winners include Pepsi We Inspire, Tyler Perry's House of Payne, Shonda Rhimes of Grey's Anatomy (I never knew she was black) and also the girl from Precious... Check out the pics

(Chris Rock and the Precious chic...Something Sible?...)

(Tyler and Taraji.... Man I love em both... Can you guys start dating? Please...)

(Now That's so Raven... she is 2 fine!!)

(Taraji, the Precious chic and Raven Symone)

(Keke Palmer never stops to amaze me)

(Raven Symone and Monique Coleman. Do you know Monique Coleman is a year older than Beyonce but still she looks amazing!!! Finer than Bee if I might add)

Other winners include Whitney Houston, God in Me (that song is going places), Keri Hilson, Maxwell and Good Hair.

Gotta go now.... I have a class for 1pm

Stay blessed y'all. Read Proverbs 12:12

Trotcha

PS: I also wanna appear on Tyra Show.... suggestions pls...
