This was the question on my mind yesterday as I was washing. I can't really place what led to my asking the question but the deal is that I feel this is the issue. I feel that most times the people we end up hurting most times are the ones we love. Why do we do that? I mean, we are supposed to love them right?
Someone says hurt is inevitable... I do not agree. It's funny how a mother loves her child so much and in the end, she realizes he has been a very bad boy or the chic who realizes that the guy she gave her heart to is cheating...
I was wrapping up my novel "Kiss and Tell" when I decided to take a break. Apart from getting ready for final exams and all, I am at a very sad point in the book and I realized I was crying... I have hurt many people who I love and trust me it was unintentional...
Question is why do I do it????
I need to do some soul searching
I will answer this question the other way... lol
ReplyDeletePeople we love so much hurt us because we expect a lot from them. When you expect too much from people, often times, what you get could be hurting...
The question then is, shouldn't we expect more from people, especially those we love? The answer... hurt is inevitable. We should not stop trust, loving and giving love. That's the best way to live.

There are two sides to this:
ReplyDelete1. We hurt them because we are only human and hence fickle, fallible and prone to mistakes.
2. We hurt the ones we love the most, sometimes, because it's better for them in the long run. A lil hurt may be the lifesaver they need.
In any case the reason why we can even hurt them at all is because there is love in the mix. You cannot really hurt me(maybe get me upset) if i don't even send your existence.
