The Greatest Need

The greatest need of every human being is to be loved. Whether a guy, girl, man or woman; we all want to feel important, respected, cherished. We want to achieve something, be good at something and have the world give us a standing ovation. I mean a part of me is hoping you will read this post and tell me how you loved it and how it changed your life and all. It is funny how we never find anyone to treat us the way we want to be treated 100% but we keep trying, searching and hoping that maybe someone will give us even if it is 60 %. It is funny how I will write this post and it may not even get read. Crazy right?

Do you disagree with me?

Ever wonder why nobody really says they have lived out their dreams? Like you struggle to advance in your career and after you get to the peak, you still are not satisfied, you want more. You want to do more.
Ever wonder why our significant other does not love us the way we want to be loved. I am not saying they don't love us well. Some give us even 99% but when we go out on group dates and we see B's spouse, we wish, he/she was our significant other.
Ever wonder how the little vices we still do never satisfy. We keep going back for more of that 5 mins-1hr pleasure that still never satisfies in the end.

Sad right?

Truth is, the feeling is normal. It is how we have been wired by an All-Powerful All-Knowing All-Righteous God. He wants to be the most important thing/person in our lives. He wants everything we do, our desires our dreams and aspirations and all our needs to have root in him. He wants your dreams to be rooted in Him because it is then all our dreams will come true. He wants us to love him  so that we can love our spouse the way He has loved us thereby giving a 100% to our spouse not by our might but by his Spirit of love. Is that not awesome?

It is only when we admit that God is our greatest need and that He only satisfies then we will see him satisfy the little needs in our lives. He is the only one who will actually catch a "grenade" for you because he was the one who did not just promise to die for His bride. He went a step further and actually died, taking His brides place so that His bride can live through Him.

I want to implore you today to make God your greatest need. Seek him everyday, with all your heart and your soul and he will grant you the desires of your heart. Make him your greatest need and like Paul you will be able to say :I have fought the good fight, I have completed the race, I have kept the faith"

God is the one who can fulfill your greatest need. I realize that so today I decide to live and love vicariously through Him. Will you join me?

Trotcha!
