P.S. I Love You

Yes. I sometimes like the mushy mushy movies and it is not my fault. I love to love and see people love themselves. If you have seen this movie, you might understand what I am trying to say. First, Hilary Swank never disappoints. OK, I have seen her in like just 2 movies i.e Freedom Writers' Diary and this one and she was amazing.

The movie is based on the book authored by Cecelia Ahern. It is about a couple who live on the lower east side of Manhattan. Holly(Hilary Swank) is a real estate agent while Gerry(Gerard Butler) runs a limo business. Anyways, the two are crazy in love with each other until Gerry dies due to a brain tumor. Hurt and in pain, Holly lives in seclusion until finally on her 30th birthday she receives a gift in the presence of her mum(Kathy Bates), her best friend Denise (Lisa Kudrow; FRIENDS!!!!!!), her husband's partner John (James Marsters) and his wife Sharon (Gina Gershon). The gift is a birthday cake and a tape player with a tape and instructions to follow by her late husband. After that she receives numerous letters from him signed P.S I Love You.

One thing I loved about the movie was the love Holly and Gerry had for each other. It's kind of like the one Benjamin Button had with Daisy in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Their love was unfailing and every single letter showed that he loved her more than she could ever imagine. I mean he knew that after he died, she wasn't gonna leave the house. In the end, the letters help her get over the loss of her husband and move on with her life.

I consider this movie a classic. I know there will come a time when I wont be able to watch it again but I know that day will come when I will also drop notes for that special person, I will be very much alive..trust me. I will prove my love not just by words, but by actions, by sacrifice, by enduring, by respecting. I will go out of my way to make sure that I put her needs before mine. I will make sure that she knows and understand that whether I am close by or far away, whether I am happy or grumpy, when I am frail and old and her beauty has faded with age, I will be able to say P.S. I Love You!

Goodbye Sharpay Evans meet Mandy Gilbert

Yes... Ashley Tisdale just keeps proving to me that she is an incredible actress. You know I was supposed to watch Eagle Eye, well somehow I ended up watching High School Musical 3 and Picture This. Truth is, I really wasnt interested in watching any of these movies but I changed my mind and even if High School Musical 3 was a NO!NO!! for me(We'll talk about that later. I don't know why Disney ahs to exhust all its good movies. It makes them look like Nigerian films). Anyways, I decided to watch Picture This and even if it is the "boy meets girl" kinda movie, it was cool seing Ashley act like a normal average teenager instead of the very annoying Sharpay. Yes, Sharpay could be annoying!

In this movie, Ashley is Mandy Gilbert, a loner in her high school, wanting to be noticed by the hottest guy in school Drew Patterson. Anyways, most of the movie happened in one day, and it was cool as Ashley tries hard to get the guy of her life while dealing with her over-protective father and the popular girls in school.

As I said earlier on, it is your typical high school movie. What I just love was Ashley's performance. She is good. I am also happy she has broken from the "Disney" whatever . I thank God they will not exhaust her like they did to my darling Raven Symone. I think Ashley is cool and she is a good actress. Far better than Miley Cyrus and Vanessa Hudgens. Hey! It's my opinion.

Anyways, High School Musical 3: Senior Year and Picture This are available on DVD. Go check them out and see Ashley's brillaint performances in both. Now, I think i'll go see Seven Pounds. I love Will Smith. I think Eagle Eye can wait.

Mamma Mia!!!Love Actually Is Eveywhere!!!!!!

Mamma Mia!

Have you seen the movie? Starring Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan. OMG! It is amazing. I liked the fact that Meryl Streep was not looking all uptight and she cracked a move or too...I cannot get over the movie, even though it has some... scenes and all that are not good but the movie is wonderful. Anytime I see a movie, I focus on the good points and the good points were the importance of friendship, family and the joy of CONTENTMENT. There were also famous ABBA renditions like Mamma Mia and Dancing Queen. It is a musical comedy and one of my personal favourites..after Hairspray though.

Then I watched... Love Actually. OMG! The tag line is love actually is everywhere or love is actually everywhere (one of the two)...not sure which one. Anyways, I enjoyed the movie. It is a British romantic comedy starring, Hugh Grant (alwyas loved him), Colin Firth (He was in Mamma Mia), Laura Linney, Emma Thompson (Nanny Mcphee), Keira Knightley (Pirates of the Caribean), Nigerian's own Chiwetel Ejiofor and the famous Rowan Atkinson A.K.A Mr Bean.

Well, the movie features various love stories that connect a the movie progresses and yes like Mamma Mia it has those kinda scenes, but the thing about this movie is that it focuses mainly on the importance of love and not love as sex but love as what it is..beautiful. We see Hugh Grant, torn between his reputation as Prime Minister and going out with one of his workers. We see Colin Firth in love with his Portugese housekeeper and goes to learn the language 'cause of her. We see Laura Linney making a choice between the guy she has loved for two years or her brother who is in an institution... the movie is just...almost perfect.

Yea, there are some glitches and things I don't agree with but the fact remains that the movie is wonderful teaching the importanc eof love between friends, family and also among lovers. It really has made me think about the people in my life and I NEED TO TELL THEM I LOVE THEM! I love you mum, I love you dad, Love you my siblings, love you YWAP!!! I love you every blogger who blogs well...

So if you have not seen these movies go watch them. They are all on DVD and I know you will enjoy them. I will hola soon. I need to go watch Eagle Eye. It stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosario Dawson and Billy Bob Thornton and I hear it is amazing.

Have You Seen House: The Move Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday night, I sat down to watch the best Christian movie in the world!!! Trust me. When I saw Three, I was against independent producers adapting Christian novels for the big screen but after I saw this movie. Trust me... I am so so so so so so SPEECHLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the movie. I love the way it was not so preachy. I love the suspense. I love the cast. Words cant express how I feel. Just go watch the movie!

COLLEGE ROAD TRIP ROCKS!!!!

When College Road Trip was released, I read on the internet that it was a this and that movie. I even posted an article here to ask people what they thought and i did not get any replies so I'll say i was left in suspense. Anyways, I watched the movie and i am proud to let you know that Raven Symone does not disappoint. The movie was awesome. Martin Lawrence stepped up in his role as an overprotective dad. Also Donny Osmond made an outstanding performance with his rendition of 'So Long, farewell'. Don't mind the reviews, go and enjoy College Road Trip. Peace!
