It's Falentine!!!

Hey people.... It's valentine and I just wanna say happy vals day!!! Also, check out this poem I published on Anani Speaks... it is called Roses are Red

Roses are red,
Violets are blue or purple?
Sugar is sweet (and very harmful)
And so are you...
You make me smile when I don't want to,
You make me angry when I shouldn't be,
You gimme a bitter-sweet feeling,
The feelings I feel that I don't want to feel,
Feelings to love and hate,
Feelings to cry and laugh,
I love you and I hate you,
God help me, I don't want to be stuck,
Can't be, wont be, shouldn't be...
(Pause)
Roses are red,
The sky is blue,
God loves you,
And so do I.

Check out this amazing love song gy my girl Stacie Orrico

It's been a long time...

Hey blogville,

Music Playing- Stacie Orrico’s Beautiful Awakening

How is it?? What has been happening??? It’s been almost a week since I was here last and honestly, I missed y’all.

Nothing major has happened besides the fact that I am super excited that this Friday is The Experience concert. May I add here that this concert is the biggest gospel concert in THE WORLD (I think)? Anyways, I am excited because I know it’s going to be major fun… and I am going to see Mr. Kirk Franklin LIVE!!! (I hope he sings ‘How It Used to be’. I am so in love with that song). Also, Friday is the day we go home. Our school is closing on Friday and I can’t wait to go home. It has been an amazing year and I am thankful to God for how things have gone. I also will be going to see that “2012” movie that everyone has been screaming about. They say the movie is based on the prophecy by some woman that the world is coming to an end in 2012. I am not saying anything. Lemme just go and see the movie first before I start drawing any conclusions.

I saw the movie for “Dead Like Me” and although it was cool seeing an older version of Jasmine Guy, the movie was just twisted… yes it is good entertainment but plesase… I mean their version of the creation story is so excessive…

Finally, I got to watch GREASE!!!! That movie is like a classic and I have been dying to watch it and I did. I am not going to review the movie but all I know is that it was good to see a very young John Travolta… I need to see more classics so if you have an idea to how I can watch Gone with the Wind, Casablanca and My Fair Lady… holler me.

Thanks to Blogratti… Here are my plans for the week

1. Spend time in constant communion with God (You don’t want to know what has been going on)

2. Submit the corrected versions of my chapters 1-3 before I go home

3. Get her phone number

4. Make Glory’s birthday on Wednesday and unforgettable one

5. Make sure our film blog is ready fro submission by Thursday

So those are my plans. I hope they all work out… till my next post….

Trotcha!!

PS: I also want to reduce my sugar intake and Trotcha is a word I formed and it means Wishing you love, peace and happiness.

Revealed

Honestly, some things have been happening and trust me...it aint gospel!!!(That's a new slang I just learnt), anyways sha there are somethings that I have to reveal... First thing is that I am currently in romance mode... I dunno why but I have been in mushy mushy mode lately. Maybe it's the movies, or the Brandy 'Never say Never' album on my playlist or the Stacie Orrico "Beautiful Awakening" I have been bumping. Either ways, that is the mode I am in right now... hmmnnn...

Also, I think I need therapy. I have been doing some crazy ish lately. Things that I cannot even believe that I can do. I mean, I AM MR NICE GUY but it's like I am Darth Vader... Yes oh!! it's the truth and I don't like it at all.

I know I am rambling and babbling right now but that is what I do, I am the Talkaholic... Anyways, I want to use this medium to apologize on behalf of the YADA teamin the delay of the release of this month's issue (that didn't make sense). Sha you guys, imma hola back later, I gotta go finish my Chapter 2... It's not easy to be in final year...

Baruch!!!

Trotcha!!!

It's Gonna Be Simple...

OK, I believe in timing. Everything happens for a reason and there is no coincidence. It is just something I know. I have been reflecting over my life and trust me, it has not been a good experience. But God is always here for me, seeing me through every storm, trial, tribulation...

Last week, I got the music video of Stacie Orrico's So Simple. I remember when I had her 3rd album 'Beautiful Awakening', I never really used to listen to the song 'cause I considered it kinda boring. Anyways, I downloaded the video and I loved it. I took time to listen to the lyrics and I started looking at the big picture.

Right now...
-If you are a friend and you are not contributing ANYTHING POSITIVE to my life...that's the door.
-God is taking center stage. NO ONE should bother competing for the Nos. 1 spot cause he got it already.
-Family comes 2nd. I am OK with the way we are. We may not be the richest, the most popular but we got each other and we love each other. That's all that matters.
-I will NEVER take my true friends for granted again, so Bunmi, Glory, Isoken, Ndatse, Tobi, Victor, Peter A, Peter E and others, I LOVE YOU GUYS
-I will NEVER hesitate to love someone, we don't know tomorrow.
-I will ALWAYS be true to ME AND GOD.
-To all of those who I made feel important and took me for granted...you guys know yourselves. I can't afford that luxury anymore

Tears are actually in my eyes right now and NO I am not crying. I am just happy and grateful to God for this revelation. I am happy and I am trusting him that he will give me the strength to live my life like this...True to life...true to me...

This is the song...

"So Simple  by Stacie Orrico"

(It could all be so simple, simple)

Don't need high heels (For me, I don’t need converse..lol)

For a good feel

You can keep the fancy clothes

I'll take walking in the rain

Over things material

I'll trade Melrose and the big names

Give me faces that I know

Just play a melody that everybody knows

Take it down, down, down

And strip it to the core

I don't really need much less is more, more, more

[CHORUS:]

True to life, true to me

The way it's got to be

So simple, so simple, so simple

Live to love, love to be

Absolutely free

(so simple, so simple, simple)

Give me wisdom, plain and truthful

Teach me something I don't know

Plain as education, inspiration I suppose (yeah yeah)

Give me family, on a Sunday

And I'll be just fine

There's nothing in the world

That's worth more of my time

Take it down, down, down

And strip it to the core

I don't really need much less is more, more, more

[CHORUS ]

Living my dream, is my song to the world

(let 'em hear it)

Sharin' my soul and spirit

I'm hoping that you hear it

Got one (one) life (life) to live (live)

It's only what you make it (make it)

Every new day's a chance worth taking

[CHORUS ]

It's gonna be so simple...
